Dr. Wei Li joined the Office of the Texas State Chemist (OTSC) in 2009. As Research Scientist, Dr. Li is responsible to develop and validate modern analytical methods for monitoring contaminants and nutrients in food, feed, and fertilizer. Dr. Li received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry at Wuhan University in China and his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Li has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals including Journal of AOAC Int., Rapid communications in Mass Spectrometry and Talanta, etc.
